An evening in Central Park

This past Sunday, I spent the evening in Central Park’s conservatory garden photographing a lovely family: Amiel & Rebecca, and their daughter, Juliet. They were such a joy.

On Monday evening, I received an e-mail message from Rebecca:

I thought you might like to know that you now officially have a “little people” named after you. [The “little people”] is a little black girl with braids but she has a camera around her neck so Juliet said “Looks just like Bob!”

I didn’t quite see the resemblance, but Juliet said she’s Bob so that’s the way it goes!

I’m still smiling.

did have a camera around my neck. And I was wearing all black. But the thing that makes me smile the most is that 2 1/2 year olds are so pure. Gender doesn’t matter, race doesn’t matter, age doesn’t matter….
