NYC Christmas returns — as do last year’s images!

Last year, I volunteered to photograph A New York City Christmas, a Christmas concert to benefit Artists Striving to End Poverty.
I learned today that some of my photos from last year’s concert are in the cd booklet of new release from Sh-K-Boom records.

ZviDance!

Zvi Gotheiner is one of my favorite choreographers. I met Zvi almost ten years ago and on Thursday night, I was fortunate enough to photograph his annual fall dance benefit piece, Personals (2008).  His work is amazing.
ZviDance is “a company comprised of athletic and lyrical dancers that blends contemporary aesthetics with lush, full-bodied movement.”

August, when you’re on the beach you steal the show

Well… yeah… on the beach or in front of the fountain on the grounds of the U.S. Open. This is Fliery, a man who is fun to work with and also is a dance teacher! As an FYI, his name means “blossom.”

The Afro Bats

Right at the end of a photo shoot in Central Park, near Bethesda fountain, J.C. and I happened to catch a performance by a group of extraordinary acrobats and comedians called the Afro Bats. I couldn’t find a website for them but did find this video of part of their performance on YouTube.
